Renewable Energy - Air Source Heat Pumps

Air source heat pumps are fitted on the outside of your property and work by absorbing the heat from the surrounding air. The heat absorbed can be used to warm water for radiators or the air in your home.

There are two main types of heat pump. These are:

Air-to-water system:
The air-to-water system uses the generated heat to warm water. The water is heated at a considerably lower temperature than a conventional boiler. This system is more suitable for under floor heating systems than radiators.

Air-to-air system:
The air-to-air system creates warm air which in turn is circulated by fans to heat your home.
